1. Grid setting

1) Determine the laying method (horizontal, vertical) of the keel according to the pattern of the metal composite insulation board. The keel of this project is laid vertically.

2) According to the external dimensions of each part of the building and the length of the metal composite insulation board, after determining the position of the keel, the vertical line is bounced on the building wall.

3) Keel spacing: when the height is less than or equal to 30m, it is generally selected between 500-700mm, and when the height is greater than 30m, the spacing is controlled between 400¬-600mm.

4) According to the position of the grid line, hang the vertical and horizontal control lines (the wall flatness and verticality control line).

5) Hang longitudinal control lines around the yin and yang corners, windows and balconies.

2. Keel installation

1) According to the requirements of the overall thickness and the thickness of the entire external insulation system ≤ 80mm, determine the XPS under the keel

The thickness of the extruded board should be controlled between 10mm and 25mm. If it is less than 10mm, a rubber pad should be used.

2) Install a 30×30×1mm U-shaped galvanized keel according to the position of the punching rib, and the width of the XPS extruded backing plate under the pad

60mm, fixed with Φ6 iron expansion bolts, when the height is less than or equal to 30m, the bolt spacing is less than or equal to 400mm, and when the height is greater than or equal to 30m, the bolt spacing is less than or equal to 300mm. If the depth of the expansion bolt embedded in the wall is less than 30mm, the extension bolt should be used.

3) The allowable deviation of the installation level and verticality of the galvanized keel is controlled within ±1mm, and the steel gasket can be used to adjust the parts below the standard during installation.

4) The keel should be connected with lightning protection jumper at the bottom, and should be reliably connected with the grounding bus of the construction company.

3. Install polystyrene board insulation layer

1) The wall between the keels is hung by using the wall slings to penetrate the polystyrene board. When the reinforced concrete wall has no slings, special plastic expansion bolts can be used for anchoring, and the joints per linear meter shall not be less than 3 (including vertical and horizontal directions, plum-shaped arrangement).

2) The thickness of the polystyrene board should be determined according to calculation and testing. The thickness of this project is 50mm, which is cut according to the distance between the keels, fixed by the wall slings, and attached to the wall and lower than the outer surface of the keel to form a composite thermal insulation board. Air insulation layer, the thickness of the air layer is ≥5mm.

3) For the overlapping parts of the polystyrene board and the punching ribs, the polystyrene board can be installed by chamfering, and all the gaps can be filled with foamed polyurethane.

4. Installation of galvanized decorative insulation board

1) Cut the composite insulation board according to the drawings and the actual size of the wall, and pay attention to the alignment of the pattern and seam.

2) According to the horizontal control line, install the composite insulation board from bottom to top, and fix it with the keel by self-tapping screws or rivets, which must not be omitted.

3) Installation sequence: first the eaves wall, then the gable wall, the large corner first, then the seam, the large wall first, then the bottom of the window, and the installation of aluminum alloy accessories such as the yin and yang corners and the seam pressure top.

4) In addition to fixing the accessories with screws or rivets, waterproof glue should be used to seal all the gaps, and no leakage should occur (the distance is determined by the supervisor and the manufacturer).

5) The window sill is made of polymer mortar to bond the 15mm thick extruded board, and the outer plate of the aluminum alloy window sill is laid on the upper side. The flat head expansion bolts are fixed with waterproof glue.

6) The connection between the metal composite insulation board and the keel should not have an insulating layer to ensure reliable lightning protection and grounding.

Note:

① For decorations such as railings protruding from the wall, rainwater pipe clips, air-conditioning through-wall pipes and condensate pipes, they should be drawn out before the composite insulation board is installed or holes should be reserved on the composite board surface. After the decorations are installed, they should be sealed with waterproof glue.

② For the parts without keel such as the bottom and the window, the flat head expansion screw can be directly used to tie the metal composite insulation board to the wall. After the screw is tightened, the screw hole is closed with waterproof glue.

③ In order to prevent the metal composite insulation board from directly contacting the outdoor scattered water to cause rust, the distance between the lower mouth of the next layer of metal composite insulation board and the scattered water should be appropriately raised. In this project, the distance between the lower skin of the metal composite insulation board and the ground should be 450mm, and the lower part should be 40mm thick. The 90mm-thick split bricks are built with foamed polyurethane as the building legs. Waterproof and anti-seepage measures should be taken for the joint part of the foot restraint part and the thermal insulation system.
